Welcome and thank you for visiting our website where we are delighted to showcase what makes Loatlands Primary School such a special place to learn.

At Loatlands we actively seek to work in partnership with families to nurture the whole child and develop the highest standards of education for children in all that they do. We believe passionately in creating a love of learning that will allow children to become enquiring learners in all areas of our enriching curriculum.

Year 3 Cosmic Chris

What a fantastic morning Year 3 have had! Cosmic Chris came into school to help with our learning about our topic 'Angry Earth'. 

During our workshop, we learnt about tectonic plates and the layers of the earth by breaking up some boiled eggs.

We also enjoyed learning about volcanoes and how they are formed. Some were particularly explosive!

Finally, we found out about different types of rock: metamorphic, sedimentary and igneous. We looked at them and had to identify which ones they were.
