Year 2 have been learning about Desborough and what it was like in the past. We visited the Heritage Centre and discovered two famous objects the gold Anglo-Saxon Desborough necklace and the bronze Desborough mirror. The owners of the Old Station House kindly let us walk around so we could see where the original platfrom and waiting rooms were. The children found out that ladies and gentleman had to use seperate waiting rooms and that the Station house opened in 1857 and closed in 1968. We have carried on our learning in class and will be writing a report about Desborough in the past.
