What a fab start to the new term! We have been learning all about The Great fire of London and on Wednesday we visited Desborough fire station. We learnt that there were no fire fighters in 1666 and as a result it took four days to put the fire out and over 13,000 houses burnt down. We were taught all about fire safety and asked to check if we had a smoke alarm at home. If you don’t have one the firemen will come and put one in your house!
We went inside the fire engine and even got to use the fire hose to squirt water! We really enjoyed the afternoon J
